Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1cup chickpea flour
  2. 2-3spoon Mawa
  3. 1/2 tsp mixed dry fruits(smallchunks)
  4. Salt and pepper
  5. 1/2 cupTomatoe puree
  6. 1/2tsp turmeric
  7. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  8. 1/2 tsp kasturi Methi
  9. 1 tsp Green coriander
  10. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  11. 1tsp cumin seeds
  12. 1/2tsp Hing

Instructions

  1. To make gatta, in a bowl mix 2tsp oil, chickpea flour, salt and little turmeric and bind with little water. Cover the dough and let rest for 15mins.
  2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix grated Mawa and dry fruits. And heat water to boil the gatta.
  3. Now, make small ball like shape with chickpea dough and fill it with the mawa and dry fruits filling. And transfer these balls to hot water to boil.
  4. They will be very delicate to handle, handle them very gently. Once done take them out. And fry them in oil until they get golden.
  5. Now heat oil in a pan and add cumin, bay leaf, and tomato puree and saute them.
  6. Now add turmeric, Garam masala, salt and pepper, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, and hing and saute until oil separates (add water as needed).
  7. Now add 1cup of water and let it to boil, after that add gatte and add 1tsp Grated Mawa and cook for a minute.
  8. Now add kasturi methi and coriander leaves and serve hot.
