Lauki Thepla ( Bottle Gourd Thepla)

Ingredients to make Lauki Thepla ( Bottle Gourd Thepla)

  • 1 cup grated lauki or bottle gourd
  • turmeric 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • salt
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 1 tsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • oil 2 tbs
  • oil 1/4 cup for cooking thepla

How to make Lauki Thepla ( Bottle Gourd Thepla)

  1. TAKE GRATED LAUKI, RED CHILI POWDER, TURMERIC, AJWAIN, SESAME, SALT AND SUGAR.
  2. MIX GRATED LAUKI AND ALL SPICES WELL. SO LAUKI WILL RELEASE ITS JUICES.
  3. TAKE 1 CUP OF WHEAT FLOUR ADD 2 TBS OF OIL.
  4. MIX WHEAT FLOUR AND OIL WELL
  5. NOW ADD LAUKI AND SPICES MIXTURE IN WHEAT FLOUR.
  6. IF REQUIRED TAKE WATER TO KNEAD THE DOUGH.
  7. KNEAD THE SOFT DOUGH.
  8. DIVIDE THE DOUGH IN SMALL BALLS. ROLL THEPLA ON ROLLING BOARD WITH THE HELP OF DRY WHEAT FLOUR.
  9. COOK THE THEPLA ON HOT TAWA ON BOTH SIDE.
  10. THEN APPLY OIL ON BOTH SIDES AND PRESS WITH THE HELP OF SPATULA.
  11. COOK ON MEDIUM FLAME.
  12. LAUKI THEPLA IS READY TO SERVE WITH MANGO CHUNDA AND TEA OR COFFEE IN BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH.
