About Chicken Makhmali.... Recipe

Its a very easy but scrumptious recipe,perfect for sunday lunch.

Chicken Makhmali....

Ingredients to make Chicken Makhmali....

  • chicken...1/2kg
  • Baby onion...100gm
  • onion_ginger garlic paste...5tspn
  • Fresh malai..1cup
  • Dry red chilli...3
  • Kashmiri red chilli...4
  • Green chilli...2
  • curd...100gm
  • turmeric powder...2tspn
  • cumin powder...1tspn
  • coriander powder...1tspn
  • Garam masala...1tspn
  • salt
  • Kasuri methi...2tspn
  • oil
  • butter...50gm

How to make Chicken Makhmali....

  1. Marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours with salt, curd,red chilli powder & turmeric powder.
  2. Heat oil & fry baby onion.Keep aside.
  3. Make a paste of fresh malai/ fresh cream, dry red chilli, dry Kashmiri red chilli & green chilli.
  4. Heat butter & add onion_ginger garlic paste.Fry it for few minutes.
  5. Add tomato paste & marinated chicken & mix it well.
  6. Add cream chilli paste & all spices.Mix it well & stir it constantly to avoid burning.
  7. Mix it well & after 10 to 15 minutes add some hot water.Cover it & boil the chicken properly.
  8. After that add fried baby onion , crushed kasuri methi & garam masala.Cook it for another 5 to 7 minutes.Adjust salt & gravy.
  9. Serve it hot with butter naan or rice.
