ABOUT Anguri Mutton RECIPE

Anguri Mutton recipe, a non-veg gravy recipe made using mutton and this gravy is made using grapes and yogurt which tastes good with rice and roties well.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mutton with bone 400 gm
  2. 1st marinade
  3. 2 tbsp yogurt
  4. 2nd marinade
  5. Salt 1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  7. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1,1/2 tsp
  8. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  9. coriander powder 1 tsp
  10. Grind together to a smooth paste:
  11. 1" size ginger piece
  12. 8-10 flakes of garlic
  13. 2-3 piece of Green Chillies
  14. 10-12 cashews
  15. 4 Almonds
  16. Black mustard seeds 1tsp
  17. White mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  18. Poppy seeds 2 tsp
  19. FOR GRAVY:
  20. 2 onions- chopped finely
  21. 1/2 cup yogurt
  22. 20-25 green grapes
  23. Refine oil
  24. For tempering
  25. 2 green cardamom
  26. 3-4 Cinnamon sticks


  1. Marinate the mutton with yogurt for about 7-8 hours. Further marinate the mutton with all ingredients of the 2nd marinade.
  2. Grind all the ingredients together which were mentioned previously.
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai and add cinnamons and cardamoms.
  4. Now add the Onion's, stir fry on medium heat until the Onion's turn golden brown.
  5. Add the above paste and stir- fry for a minute.
  6. Now add the marinated mutton and yogurt, fry well for 8-10 minutes till yogurt dries up.
  7. Add the grapes paste to mutton and fry till it turns brown on all sides and oil separates.
  8. Now add sufficient amount of water, cover and cook on a low heat for 15 minutes.
  9. Now transfer the mutton with gravy to a pressure cooker and pressure cook on medium flame for 15 minutes (2 whistles).
  10. Remove from fire and serve hot.
