ABOUT Makhane ki Kheer RECIPE

A perfect kheer recipe to eat during the Navratras.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. 2 cups of whole Makhane
  3. Few strands of saffron
  4. 4 tbsp sugar
  5. A pinch of elaichi
  6. Some chopped dry fruits if you like

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan on low heat, stirring continuously at regular intervals and reduce the milk to half.
  2. Now grind the whole makhanas in a mixer jar and grind for a few seconds.
  3. Now put the crushed makanas in the reduced milk and cook till they become soft.
  4. Now add sugar and cook further for 10 more minutes. Now add the chopped nuts.
  5. It is ready to be served. Enjoy.
