ABOUT Loquat Panna RECIPE

Succulent, tangy yet sweet, wonderfully delicious loquat fruit is rich in vitamins, minerals, fibers,and anti-oxidants. From China to Japan, it spread all across the world. In the Jammu region of J&K, the season of Loquat is in spring from March to May and is relished very well.This fruit has pectin ,which washes away toxins from the body.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Loquats 20
  2. Sugar 1 cup
  3. Mint leaves 1/4 cup
  4. Roasted jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Black Salt (kala namak) 3/4 tsp
  6. Black pepper 1/4 tsp
  7. Ice cubes
  8. Water 3 cups + 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook the loquat in 1/2 cup of water. Remove the skin and seeds.
  2. Mix the pulp, sugar, black salt pepper in a blender and make a puree.
  3. Take a pan, boil 3 cups of water and the loquat puree. Add the crushed mint leaves. Boil it for 15 mins and add the roasted zeera and fill it in sterilized bottles.
  4. In a glass pour some ice, add the panna concentrate and add water. Adjust the sweetness as per taste.
