About Mango peda Recipe

Mango peda is a super delicious treat for mango lovers. It is packed with flavors from the fresh mango puree, condensed milk and milk powder perfect for festivals .

Mango peda

Ingredients to make Mango peda

  • Fresh mango puree 1/2cup
  • Milk Powder 1/2cup
  • Condensed milk 1/2cup
  • ghee 2-3tbsp
  • almonds few pieces
  • saffron few strands
  • pistachio few for garnishing

How to make Mango peda

  1. Heat 1tsp ghee in a pan.
  2. Add condensed milk and milk powder and stir till all mixed up well and becomes a dough. Switch off.
  3. Heat 1ghee in another pan and add mango puree, saffron strands and cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Keep stirring till it thickens a bit.
  5. Add milk powder and condensed milk mixture and stir.
  6. Cook on low flame till all combines well and it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
  7. Switch off and cool a bit.
  8. While the mixture is still warm, grease your palms, take a small portion of it and make it into a ball.
  9. Flatten a bit, stuff one almond and cover up the almond with the mixture  and give it any shape of your choice.
  10. Garnish with pistachio and saffron strands.

My Tip:

Don't overcook the mixture.
