About Paneer in White Sauce Recipe

Paneer in White Sauce is very tasty and simple variety of paneer. Serve with dinner rolls, buns, toast, stir fried rice or even with plain parathas.

Ingredients to make Paneer in White Sauce

  • cottage cheese 250 gms,
  • butter 4 tbsp
  • flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup or more
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
  • nutmeg powder a pinch
  • pepper power 1 tsp taste
  • green chillies 2 tbsp

How to make Paneer in White Sauce

  1. MELT 4 TBSP BUTTER IN A NON-STICK PAN
  2. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CHILLIES, SAUTE FOR 2-3 SECONDS
  3. ADD 2 TBSP FLOUR, STIR BRISKLY FOR 1-2 MINS ON LOW-MEDIUM HEAT
  4. STIR CONTINUOUSLY TILL THE MIXTURE TURNS PINKISH BROWN
  5. ADD 1 CUP MILK, STIR CONTINUOUSLY FOR A FEW MINS TO AVOID LUMPS
  6. STIR & LET THE SAUCE COOK ON LOW HEAT UNTIL IT TURNS THICK
  7. SEASON WITH 1 TSP BLACK PEPPER, SALT TO TASTE, A PINCH NUTMEG POWDER, MIX
  8. THE SAUCE SHOULD BE THICK, YET BE OF A FLOWING CONSISTENCY, ADD 1/4 CUP MILK, SIMMER
  9. ADD 250 GMS COTTAGE CHEESE CUBES, STIR IN GENTLY, COOK FOR 2-3 MINS
  10. ADD 1 TBSP CHOPPED CORRIANDER LEAVES, TAKE OFF HEAT
  11. SERVE HOT WITH BUNS / BREAD / ROTIS / PARATHAS / RICE
