Kosha Mangsho is a spicy and delicious Mutton curry from Bengal. It is one of the most popular recipes in Bengali cuisine and is known for its great flavour and taste.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 grams Mutton cut into pieces
  2. 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  3. 1 Cardamom (Pods /Seeds)
  4. 1 cinnamon stick
  5. 2 Cloves
  6. 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  7. 1 onion finely chopped
  8. 2 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  11. 1/2 cup Yogurt (Curd)
  12. Coriander leaves (Dhania) Few sprigs, chopped

Instructions

  1. To begin making the Kosha Mangsho recipe, heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and allow it to sputter. Then add cardamom, cloves and cinnamon along with onions and saute till the onions turn soft.
  2. Then add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds, followed by the powdered spices.
  3. Saute well and then add the mutton pieces along with required amount of salt. Saute and cook for few minutes.
  4. When the meat is sealed enough, then add required amount of water. Close the lid and cook for few whistles or until the mutton is cooked, and soft enough.
  5. Then open the lid, check for seasoning and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with rice.

The recipe sounds good but please add a final picture of the same, add the ingredients & procedure line by line.
