Soyabean Kosha

Ingredients to make Soyabean Kosha

  • 2 cups of soyabean soaked
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 onion paste
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cumin coriander powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoon of mustard oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon of ghee
  • 2 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 3-4 tablespoon of cooking oil
  • 1 potato cut into cubes
  • 1/2 tsp of jeera seeds
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 1 big cardamom
  • 3 cloves

How to make Soyabean Kosha

  1. Marinate Soyabeans with all the ingredients except coriander leaves, Ghee, jeera seeds, cinnamon , cardamom, cloves and cooking oil. Keep the marinate for 15 -20 minutes.
  2. In a kadai heat the cooking oil and temper some whole garam masala ( cinnamon, cardamom, jeera, cloves, pepper)
  3. Add the marinated soyabeans in it and sauté till the oil separates from the masalas.
  4. Add 2 cups of water and boil till all the vegetables are cooked and become a gravy
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and ghee

My Tip:

You can cook the same process in cooker with 2-3 whistle. You can skip potato in your recipe.
