Instant mango pickle (sweet & sour)

Ingredients to make Instant mango pickle (sweet & sour)

  • For sweet pickle
  • 2 raw mangoes
  • ¼ spoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅛ spoon turmeric powder
  • ⅛ spoon fennel seeds
  • 1 pinch kalonji
  • 1 pinch fenugreek seeds
  • For sour pickle
  • 2 raw mango
  • 2 spoon mustard oil
  • 1 pinch asfoetida
  • ¾ spoon salt
  • ⅛ spoon fennel seeds
  • 1 pinch kalonji
  • 1 pinch fenugreek seeds
  • ⅛ cup water

How to make Instant mango pickle (sweet & sour)

  1. For sweet pickle wash and peel mangoes
  2. Cut in small cubes
  3. Put in a bowl
  4. Add all spices
  5. Cook on low flame
  6. Stir continuously
  7. Cook for 5 minutes or until mango is completely cooked
  8. For sour pickle wash mangoes
  9. Dry with cloth
  10. Heat oil in a wok
  11. Cut in small pieces
  12. Add fennel seeds,kalonji, fenugreek seeds and asfoetida
  13. When tempered add mango cubes
  14. Mix well
  15. Add salt and turmeric powder
  16. Add water
  17. Cover with lid
  18. Cook on low flame for 5 minutes
  19. Stir occasionally
  20. Switch off the flame when cooked
