About Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe

Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Ingredients to make Jamaican Jerk Chicken

  • 1.2 kg chicken
  • 1 tbsp veg oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • Juice of 1 small lemon
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • For Jerk Seasoning ingredients
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp hot red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 TSP black pepper powder

How to make Jamaican Jerk Chicken

  1. CLEAN AND SLIT CHICKEN
  2. IN A BOWL, ADD ALL JERK SEASONING INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL
  3. ADD OLIVE OIL, VINEGAR AND SOY SAUCE. MIX WELL
  4. ADD CHICKEN AND MARINATE WELL
  5. COVER AND REFRIGERATE FOR 3 HOURS OR PREFERABLY OVERNIGHT
  6. HEAT OIL IN NON STICK PAN
  7. ADD CHICKEN TO HOT OIL
  8. COAT WITH OIL, COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES
  9. ADD TOMATO PASTE, LEMON JUICE AND CHICKEN STOCK, MIX WELL
  10. BRING TO BOIL, COVER AND COOK FOR 15-20 MINUTES
  11. INCREASE THE FLAME TO EVAPORATE ADDITIONAL WATER
  12. GRILL CHICKEN FOR 3 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE
  13. GARNISH WITH PARSLEY AND CILANTRO. SERVE HOT
