Homemade herbed chicken sausage

Ingredients to make Homemade herbed chicken sausage

  • 250gms of boneless chicken
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon oragano
  • 1 Teaspoon basil
  • 1 Teaspoon parsley
  • 1 Teaspoon peri-peri masala
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 Teaspoon chilli flakes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon onion chopped

How to make Homemade herbed chicken sausage

  1. Take a bowl and marinate the chicken with salt for half and hour
  2. After half and hour squeeze out the excess water from chicken
  3. Take a mixer grinder and grind the chicken breast into a fine paste
  4. Take a bowl add the chicken paste and all the herbs and masalas including salt to taste
  5. With the help of palm mix the chicken and all the ingredients together so that all the flavours get inside the chicken
  6. Divide the chicken dough into small quantities
  7. Place an aluminium foil and keep small quantities of chicken and roll it tightly inside the foil and give it a shape just like sausage
  8. Now wrap both the sides of the foil just like a toffee
  9. Prepare the length of the sausages according to your choice
  10. Place a kadai on gas and half filled it with water
  11. Let the water boil then place the foil wrapped sasusages into it and keep the gas flame at medium heat and cover the kadai with a lid
  12. Let it boil for 5mins
  13. After 5mins switched off the gas and remove the sausages from the kadai and let it cool completely
  14. Then unwrap the foil from the sausages and serve it hot with a dip of your choice.
  15. I have sliced the sausages and fried on slight oil for better taste

My Tip:

You can store the sausages in to deep freezer inside an airtight container with aluminium foil wrapped on.
