About Anda Dal Tadka Recipe

Anda dal tadka is very popular in the dhabas of North Bengal highways. This a famous fusion given to Punjabi tadka with egg fry.

Anda Dal Tadka

Ingredients to make Anda Dal Tadka

  • 1 cup green moong dal (soaked overnight)
  • 1tsp salt or to taste
  • 3tbsp butter
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 Green chili, chopped
  • 1tsp cumin powder
  • 1tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1tsp oil
  • 2 eggs

How to make Anda Dal Tadka

  1. Boil the soaked moong dal. Keep aside.
  2. Heat 2tbsp butter in a pan. Add shahi jeera and let it splutter.
  3. Add onions and fry till translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes off.
  4. Add the boiled dal along with chopped tomatoes, green chili and all the dry spices.
  5. Check for seasoning and add if required.
  6. Once you get the desired consistency, switch off the flame.
  7. Heat oil in a separate pan and fry the eggs. Mince it with the help of spatula. Add the cooked dal and mix.
  8. Serve Anda tadka with roti
