Adhrak ki dal

Ingredients to make Adhrak ki dal

  • 1 tablespoon jeera
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • 2-3 pieces of ginger medium sized
  • 2 tomatos medium sized
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1/2 tablespoon haldi
  • salt to taste
  • water

How to make Adhrak ki dal

  1. Heat oil in pan, add jeera till it crackles.
  2. Next, add onions, wait till it turns light golden brown in colour, however do not overcook.
  3. Add the grounded ginger and tomatoes, let it cook for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Add all the masalas and cook on high heat for 30 seconds. Then add very little water and let it heat for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add 3 cups of water and let it cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve it hot with chapati.

My Tip:

Do not add green chillies or red chillies.
