Saaboodana khichadi

Ingredients to make Saaboodana khichadi

  • Saaboodana 250gr.
  • moongphali dana 100gr.
  • Curry patta 4 se 5
  • namak 1 spoon
  • chini 1/2spoon
  • jeera 1/2spoon
  • hari mirch 2 se 3
  • Hari dhaniya
  • 1 spoon oil
  • 2 spoon desi ghee

How to make Saaboodana khichadi

  1. Wash and soak the tapioca pearls or saboodana for 1 hour in water, or until it fluffs up.
  2. Now dry roast the ground nuts in a pan. cool them and remove the peels from them.
  3. Now grind the roasted ground nuts in a mixer grinder.
  4. Now heat a wok with some ghee, then add the cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
  5. Now add the soaked and strained saboodana along with the ground ground nuts. Then add the salt and sugar, Cook for few minutes with occasional stirring.
  6. Now once the khichdi is dry and thick enough, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
