Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice daal khichadi 1 cup
  2. Mixed sprouts 1 cup
  3. Besan 1 cup
  4. Curd 2 tbsp
  5. Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Green chillies as per taste
  8. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  9. Urad daal 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil for shallow frying


  1. Blend khichadi, sprouts, besan and curd to get a semi smooth mixture.
  2. Adding salt, green chillies and sesame seeds. Mix well. Add water to get desired consistency. (Not too thick nor too watery)
  3. Heat 1 tsp oil, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, urad dal and saute for a minute. Pour this in the batter. Add coriander leaves.
  4. Now prepare chilla on a hot pan and serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
