ABOUT onion chutney RECIPE

This is a spicy chutney made with onion tomato and coconut perfect for idlis and dosas .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion 2 big
  2. garlic pods 4big
  3. Tomato 3 big
  4. Coconut 1/2 cup
  5. curry leaves two springs
  6. Salt
  7. Red chilly powder 2tsp
  8. To Temper
  9. oil
  10. Mustard seeds
  11. hung
  12. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and tomato and keep it aside
  2. To a pan add oil then add in the garlic and onion and fry for minuite and then add in the tomatoes .
  3. Now add in the red chilly powder and salt . Fry for five mins .
  4. Now put in the red chilly powder and cook it for five more mins and then add in the coconut pieces and turn off the flame .
  5. Now grind in all the mixture together when cooled .
  6. Finally temper it with mustard curry leaves and a red chilly .
