About Podi Idli Recipe

Its south indiam snack can enjoy with tea. You can enjoy this idli without chatani also. Given priperation time is soak (rice and dal) and fermetnted batter of idli. You can make dish with leftover idli also

Ingredients to make Podi Idli

  • Sesame 1/2 spoon
  • Red dry chilli 4
  • curry leaves 5
  • asafoetida 1/8 spoon
  • salt to tast
  • turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
  • chana dal 1 spoon
  • Udad dal 1 spoon
  • Oip 2 spoon
  • ghee as required
  • Idli as required

How to make Podi Idli

  1. DRY ROAST SESAME - 1 SPOON
  2. OIL 1 SPOON
  3. ROAST 4 DRY RED CHILLI AND 5 CURRY LEAVES
  4. OIL 1 SPOON
  5. ROAST 1 SPOON CHANA DAL
  6. ROAST 1 SPOON UDAD DAL
  7. TAKE ALL ROASTED INGREDIENTS IN MIXTURE JAR
  8. CRUSH IT WELL
  9. 1/4 SPOON TURMERIC POWADER AND 1/8 SPOON ASAFOETIDA
  10. SALT TO TASTE AND MIX WELL
  11. TAKE 1/4 SPOON GHEE ON TAVA
  12. 1/2 SPOON PODI POWADER AND ROAST IDLI BOTH SIDE WITH PODI POWADER
  13. PODI IDLI IS READY. ENJOY IT WITH TEA.
