Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green white peas 200 gms
  2. water 500 ml
  3. salt as per taste
  4. onion 2
  5. tomato 2
  6. garlic pieces 4
  7. oil 2 tsp
  8. Rai jeera 2 tsp
  9. Curry leaves 4
  10. turmeric 1/2 tsp
  11. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  12. Usal masala 2 tsp
  13. lemon juice 1 tsp
  14. Sev for garnishing
  15. For puri
  16. Wheat flour 1 cup
  17. salt
  18. oil 2 cups

Instructions

  1. HERE ..I HAVE SOAKED BOTH GREEN AND WHITE PEAS FOR 8 HRS...
  2. WASH THEM PROPERLY ...ADD ENOUGH WATER AND COOK IN PRESSURE COOKER FOR 5 WHISTLES..
  3. ONCE DONE..CHECK WHETHER VATANA HAS BEEN PROPERLY COOKED.....KEEP IT ASIDE
  4. GRIND TWO ONIONS,TOMATOES AND 4-5 GARLIC INTO FINE PASTE..
  5. HEAT KADAI...ADD RAI JEERA AND WAIT TILL IT CRACKLES
  6. NOW ADD ONION TOMATO PUREE MIXTURE
  7. MIX IT AND LET IT COOK FOR SOME TIME
  8. NOW ADD CURRY LEAVES, TURMERIC AND RED CHILLI POWDER
  9. ADD USAL MASALA AND MIX WELL..
  10. MIX WELL AND LET IT COOK TILL OIL RELEASES..
  11. NOW ADD BOILED PEAS MIXTURE AND MIX WELL
  12. ADD SALT ,WATER AS PER CONSISTENCY AND COOK WELL
  13. FINALLY ADD LEMON JUICE AND MIX WELL..READY TO HAVE..
  14. TAKE ONE CUP OF WHEAT FLOUR,ADD SALT AS PER TASTE
  15. ADD TWO SPOONS OF OIL AND MIX WELL TO FORM CRUMBLE TEXTURE
  16. FINALLY ADD WATER AND FORM A MEDIUMDOUGH...
  17. ADD LITTLE OIL AND GREESE THE DOUGH PROPERLY
  18. COVER THE DOUGH FOR 30 MIN ..THEN ROLL THIN PURIS..
  19. FRY PURIS ...ON BOTH SIDE...
