  1. 1 cup tuvar dal
  2. one large onion Chopped
  3. one large tomato Chopped
  4. 4 green chillies
  5. 20 curry leaves
  6. 5 garlic cloves chopped
  7. 1 tbsp coriander for garnishing
  8. 1 tablespoon oil
  9. 1/2 tsp musturd
  10. 1 tbsp ghee
  11. ingredients for jeera rice below
  12. 2 cups steam rice
  13. 1 tablespoon oil
  14. 1 tablespoon ghee
  15. 2 teaspoon jeera
  16. 2 green chillies
  17. 12 curry leaves
  18. Chopra almost 8
  19. one large onion
  20. 2 tej patta
  21. 1 tbsp coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. FOR PRESSURE COOKING THE DAL.1 TUVAR DAL & 2 CUPS WATER, A PINCH OF TURMERIC, FOR 15 MIN
  2. IN PAN HEAT OIL
  3. ADD MUSTARD & LET THEM SPLUTTER , ADD GARLIC
  4. ADD GREEN CHILLIES & CURRY LEAVES
  5. ADD TOMATO, COOK TILL SOFTEN
  6. ADD ONIONS, COOK TILL SOFTEN
  7. ADD SALT & TURMERIC
  8. ADD PINCH OF HING & STIRL WEL
  9. NOW ADD MASHED DAL, STIR WEL
  10. ADD GHEE
  11. NOW GARNISH WITH CHOPPED CORRINDER
  12. FOR TEMPERING JEERA RICE
  13. HEAT PAN & ADD OIL , GHEE
  14. ADD JEERA, LET THEM SPLUTTER
  15. ADD GREEN CHILLIES & CURRY LEAVES
  16. ADD TEJ PATTA, CLOVES. STIR WEL , ADD ONION
  17. STIR WELL
  18. ADD CHOPPED ALMONDS
  19. NOW ADD COOKED RICE, MIX WELL.
  20. GARNISH WITH CHOPPED CORRINDER
