Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya chunks - 150 gms
  2. Onions -3
  3. Tomatoes - 4
  4. Curd - 1 cup
  5. Ginger
  6. Garlic - 8 pieces
  7. Red chillies - 4
  8. Haldi - 1 tspn
  9. Chilli powder - 1 tspn
  10. Cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
  11. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
  12. Dhaniya powder - 1 tspn
  13. Kasuri methi - 1/2 tspn
  14. Garam masala - 1/2 tspn

Instructions

  1. BOIL WATER, ONCE THE BUBBLES START COMING, ADD SOYA CHUNKS
  2. ADD SALT, AND LET IT BOIL
  3. THE SOYA CHUNKS GETS DOUBLE IN SIZE, SWITCH OFF THE FLAME
  4. TRANSFER THE SOYA CHUNKS IN ANOTHER BOWL, DONT SQUEEZE THE WATER COMPLETELY
  5. ADD CURD TO THE SOYA CHUNKS
  6. MIX PROPERLY AND LEAVE
  7. IN A MIXER, TAKE TOMATOES, ONIONS
  8. GINGER,GARLIC, RED CHILLIES
  9. MAKE A FINE PASTE
  10. HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS. U CAN USE CINNAMON, BADI ELAICHI AND LAUNG ALSO INSTEAD OF CUMIN
  11. ONCE THEY CRACKLE, ADD CHOPPED ONIONS
  12. SAUTE TILL LIGHT BROWN, ADD THE PREPARED PASTE
  13. LET IT COOK FOR 5 MIN
  14. TAKE HALDI, CUMIN POWDER, BLACK PEPPER POWDER, CHILLI AND DHANIA POWDER
  15. TRANSFER THESE MASALAS TO THE COOKED PASTE
  16. SAUTE TILL FINE AROMA OF MASALA COMES
  17. ADD SALT
  18. SAUTE TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  19. ADD THE SOYA CHUNKS
  20. MIX THE MASALA PROPERLY
  21. ADD WATER, COVER AND COOK FOR 20 MIN
  22. IN THE END, ADD KASURI METHI, GARAM MASALA
  23. WHEN THE WATER REDUCES IN QUANTITY, SWITCH OFF THE FLAME
