Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sahjan - 1/2 kg
  2. Tomatoes - 1
  3. Mustard seeds - 2 tspn
  4. Haldi -1 tspn
  5. Chilli powder - 1 tspn
  6. Dhaniya powder -1 tspn
  7. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
  8. Red chilli - 2
  9. Bay leaf - 1
  10. Mustard seeds for chauk -1/4 tspn
  11. Oil
  12. Salt
  13. Water

Instructions

  1. TAKE MUSTARD SEEDS, DHANIYA POWDER , WATER IN A GRINDER
  2. ADD CHILLI POWDER
  3. ADD HALDI, PEPPER POWDER, GARLIC PIECES AND GRIND TO FORM A PASTE
  4. HEAT OIL, ADD RED CHILLIES, BAY LEAF AND MUSTARD SEEDS
  5. NOW ADD THE MASALA PASTE IN THE OIL
  6. SAUTE WELL TILL GOLDEN BROWN, ADD SALT
  7. ADD TOMATOES AND ALLOW TO COOK FOR 10 MIN
  8. IN THE END, ADD THE SAHJAN, MIX WELL
  9. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
  10. COVER AND COOK FOR 15 MIN.
