Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 glass rice
  2. 2 glass water
  3. 6 - 7 tablespoon oil
  4. 1/2 teaspoon saunf
  5. 1/2 teaspoon pepper corns
  6. 1 - 2 cinnamon
  7. 5 cloves
  8. 1 cardamom
  9. 1 star anise
  10. 2 marat moggu
  11. 2 kara stick
  12. 2 onions
  13. 5 Green chillies
  14. 1 inch ginger
  15. 6 garlic pods
  16. 2 tomatoes
  17. A bunch of coriander leaves
  18. 1 - 2 tablespoon shahi Biryani masala
  19. 1/2 cup curds
  20. Handful of badam (approx 25 gms)
  21. 1 teaspoon ghee
  22. salt
  23. For cucumber raita:
  24. 1/2 cucumber
  25. 1/2 onion
  26. Little curd
  27. salt to taste.

Instructions

  1. IN A VESSEL ADD LITTLE WATER AND BRING IT TO BOIL
  2. ADD 25 GMS BADAM IN BOILING WATER AND LEAVE FOR 15 MINS
  3. REMOVE SKIN
  4. HEAT 5-7 TBSP OIL
  5. ADD 2 CINNAMON STICKS, 5 CLOVES, 1 CARDAMOM, 1 STAR ANISE, 2 MARAT MOGGU, 2 KARA STICK, 1/2 TSP SAUNF AND 1/2 TSP PEPPER
  6. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS
  7. ADD 5 GREEN CHILLIES
  8. CRUSH AN INCH OF GINGER AND 6 GARLIC PODS AND ADD
  9. SAUTE WELL
  10. ADD 2 FINELY CHOPPED TOMATOES
  11. ADD 1 - 2 TBSP SHAHI BIRYANI MASALA
  12. SAUTE
  13. ADD 1/2 CUP CURD
  14. ADD THE BLANCHED AND PEELED BADAM
  15. ADD FINELY CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  16. ADD 2 GLASSES OF WATER AND BOIL
  17. ADD SALT AS PER TASTE
  18. ADD 1 GLASS SOAKED RICE
  19. ADD TSP GHEE AND CLOSE THE LID
  20. COOK FOR 2 WHISTLES
  21. MIX GENTLY
  22. SERVE WITH RAITA
