ABOUT Dhokla pizza RECIPE

This is a fusion of italian pizza with gujrati dhokla.Very healthy option for starters or snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Idli/Dhokla batter-2 cups
  2. Capsicum-1/4 cup
  3. Sweet corn kernels-1/4 cup
  4. Olives-1 tbsp
  5. Pizza sauce-2 tbsp+2 tbsp
  6. Oregano-2 tsp
  7. Chilli flakes-2 tsp
  8. Salt
  9. Olive oil-2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. ADD SALT TO THE DHOKLA BATTER AND MIX WELL.
  2. POUR THE BATTER IN A GREASED THALI.STEAM IT.
  3. TAKE A TBSP OF OLIVE OIL IN A PAN.
  4. ADD 1/4 CUP CHOPPED CAPSICUM.SAUTE FOR 2 MINUTES.
  5. ADD 1/4 CUP BOILED CORN KERNELS.
  6. ADD 1 TBSP OLIVES.
  7. ADD SALT,1 TSP OREGANO AND 1 TSP CHILLI FLAKES.
  8. ADD 2 TBSP PIZZA SAUCE.MIX AND SAUTE FOR A MINUTE.THE STUFFING IS READY.
  9. OUR DHOKLAS ARE READY.LET THEM COOL A LITTLE AND THEN LOOSEN THE EDGES.
  10. MAKE SMALL CIRCLES WITH GLASS OR COOKIE CUTTER.
  11. REMOVE THE CIRCLE FROM PLATE AND KEEP ASIDE.
  12. APPLY PIZZA SAUCE ON THE DHOKLA PIZZA BASE.
  13. PUT A SPOON OF FILLING ON THE DHOKLA BASE.
  14. SPRINKLE GRATED CHEESE.
  15. PUT A TBSP OF OLIVE OIL ON A NONSTICK PAN.
  16. KEEP THE DHOKLA PIZZAS IN THE PAN.
  17. ARRANGE ALL PIZZAS AND COVER THE PAN. COOK ON LOW FLAME SO THAT THE BASE BECOMES CRISP .
  18. THE CHEESE HAS MELTED.REMOVE ON SERVING PLATE.
  19. SPRINKLE SOME OREGANO AND CHILLI FLAKES.
  20. ENJOY HOT.
