Deep fried, crispy fish is easy to make and can serve as a snack or starter

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gms Anchovies
  2. 3 tablespoons red chilly powder
  3. Juice from half lemon
  4. 1 egg, beaten
  5. 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  6. Oil for deep fry
  7. Salt to taste


  1. In a bowl, add anchovies, red chilly powder, lemon juice and salt. Marinate for 30 min
  2. Coat the marinated fish in egg and
  3. Now in breadcrumbs
  4. Gently put in medium hot oil and fry for a minute until it turns medium golden brown in color
  5. Drain on paper towel and serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise
