ABOUT Anchovies (Nethili) Fish Fry RECIPE

Easy recipe,the fish is coated with masala and shallow fried.Goes well as a starter or with sambar or rasam rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Anchovies 30 pieces.
  2. 2 1/2 tesp chilli powder.
  3. 3 tesp coriander powder.
  4. Salt as per taste.
  5. 1/2 tesp turmeric powder.
  6. 2 1/2 tbsp thick tamrind juice.
  7. I tbsp water
  8. 1 tesp rice flour.
  9. Oil to shallow fry.

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish ,rince well in water.
  2. In a bowl add chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt,rice flour, coriander powder,water and tamarind juice.
  3. Mix well add the fish and coat them with the masala.
  4. Let marinate for 15 minutes
  5. Place a pan with enough oil to shallow fry,on medium heat.
  6. Add few pieces of the masala coated fish and fry them golden brown.
  7. Repeat with the remaining fish.
  8. Serve as a starter or with sambar and rasam rice.
