Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. One lotus stem
  2. 2 big pototoes
  3. 2 spoon besan
  4. Pinch of nutmeg powder
  5. Pinch of cinnamon powder
  6. Half spoon coriander powder
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Half spoon fine chooped garlic
  9. Half spoon kashmiri mirch
  10. Green chilly chopped
  11. coriander leaves chopped
  12. oil for shallow fry
  13. Half spoon roasted cumin powder


  1. Boil pototoes and lotus stem separately and let it cool.
  2. Now grate both pototo and lotus stem and mix well.
  3. Mix all ingredients step by step. Its little sticky but don't worry use little besan.
  4. Now make round shape tikki if you feel sticky, use little water on your palm.
  5. After making tikki, dust little besan and take pan, put oil and heat. Now fry kabab when they turn red in colour it means they are ready.
  6. Serve with ketchup or green chutney.

What is lotus stem called in d local market. I have never used it before
