Veg seek kabab recipe can be served as a party starter. Vegetarian Seekh Kabab can be served as a starter along with green chutney, sliced onion and lemon. This serves as a great party starter or as the appetiser for a full-fledged weekend meal.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  2. 2 tbsp grated onion
  3. 2 tbsp grated carrot
  4. 2 tbsp boiled green peas
  5. 5-6 chopped beans
  6. 2 green chilli chopped
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  9. 1/4 tsp turmuric pwr
  10. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  11. 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  12. 2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
  13. As needed oil
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 3 tbsp bread crumbs
  16. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  17. 2 tsp lemon juice
  18. 1/2 tsp mustard seed
  19. 1 tsp roasted gram flour
  20. 1/2 tsp coriander powder

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add the mustard seed
  2. Add the ginger garlic paste
  3. Add the green chilli, chopped onion saute for 2 mins
  4. Add the vegateble ( peas, carrot,beans saute cook for about 5 mins.then add salt
  5. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down
  6. Transfer it to a large bowl and then add the grated potato, roasted gramflower, bread crumbs, salt (as per taste), red chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, garam masala, fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix all the ingredients well using your hands to make a dough consistency. - Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to.
  7. Divide this mixture into large equal portions and wrap them around in the shape of thick seekh (metal skewer) tightly to get a long kabab. Brush each kebab very lightly with a little oil.
  8. Place the sticks on the greased grilled tray.
  9. Cook the kebab for 10-12 minutes, turning twice to the other side every 4-5 minutes
  10. Serve Vegetarian Seekh Kabab hot with mint chuteny,lemon wedges and onion to make it a great party starter and appetiser.
