Banana Honey Whole wheat Pancakes

Ingredients to make Banana Honey Whole wheat Pancakes

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tblsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tblsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • To serve: additional honey
  • 2 bananas

How to make Banana Honey Whole wheat Pancakes

  1. 1. Sift the dry ingredients together - whole wheat flour, salt and baking powder. Keep aside.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe banana till pulpy. Add honey, milk, vanilla and egg to it.
  3. 3. Sift in the dry ingredients. Add in the melted butter and whisk well.
  4. 4. Heat a flat pan and drizzle some oil onto it. Pour in 1/4 cup batter per pancake and cook on each side for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. 5. Serve with sliced bananas and more honey

My Tip:

You can even throw in half a cup of oats to make this recipe even more healthy

Does the batter need to be fermented? Should it be kept aside for 3 hours?

I guess 10 mins would do. Baking soda does the work when it gets heat unlike yeast.
