About Crispy Dosa Recipe

Dosa is a very popular dish in South India. It is generally served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutney.

Crispy Dosa

Ingredients to make Crispy Dosa

  • Parbold rice 3 cups
  • urad dal 1 cup
  • fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
  • Poha 1 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Crispy Dosa

  1. Soak the the Urad dal, fenugreek seeds, and rice separately for at least 6 - 7 hrs.
  2. Soak the poha for 1 hour.
  3. Grind the urad dal, poha, fenugreek seeds, with minimal water in a mixer to make a smooth paste and rice into a coarse paste.
  4. Mix them all and let it ferment for about 6 - 7 hrs - Add salt and mix it well.
  5. Heat a pan before frying the dosa and once it is hot, lower the flame.
  6. Spread the batter on the pan using a spoon in a circular motion.
  7. Put it back on the flame and cook it on high flame.
  8. After the batter dries out, brush a little oil on it.
  9. Cook evenly and the dosa is ready to be served.

My Tip:

Tawa should not be very hot when you spread the batter
