generally kiddos don’t like dal to eat but we parents fill if its good for health they should eat,don’t worry try these dal khamman they will really love it,here I have used split moong dal and little semolina with green chili,garlic butter some lemon juice,they are very healthy not just for kids but also for diabetic patients and us,friends try this recipe you will really love it..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 400 gms split moong dal soaked for 4 hours
  2. 1cup semolina
  3. 5-6 green chillies
  4. salt to taste
  5. 1&1/2 eno fruits salt sachet
  6. 3tablespoon of garlic butter
  7. 1tsp of oil
  8. some curry leaves
  9. 1tsp of mustard seeds
  10. 1tsp of cummin seeds
  11. 1lemon juice
  12. little chopped corriander
  13. 1/2 tsp of red chili powder


  1. grind soaked dal with very little water
  2. add green chili while grinding
  3. add 1cup of semolina
  4. add salt to taste
  5. add eno sachet and mix the batter
  6. batter should be like idli batter
  7. grease a plate in which you want to steam
  8. pour dhokla batter in plate
  9. steam for 15-20 minutes
  10. cool and cut into squares
  11. add oil in pan
  12. as it becomes hot add cummin seeds
  13. add curry leaves
  14. add mustard seeds
  15. let it crackle for sometime
  16. add garlic butter
  17. add steamed dhokla
  18. add little red chili powder
  19. add lemon juice
  20. mix it properly
  21. garnish with fresh corriander
  22. serve hot with chutney and sauces
