ABOUT Medu wada RECIPE

We use to make every kind of fritters, pakoda, or bhajiya during Ramadan, this is also one of the ramazan recipes.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Urad dal (split black chick pea) 2 cup
  2. Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
  3. Curry leaves chopped 2 tsp
  4. Onion chopped 1
  5. Green chilly chopped 4
  6. Few sprigs of chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal for 2 hours. After that grind well with just 1 or 2 spoons of water.
  2. Ad chopped onion, chopped curry leaves, chopped green chilly, chopped coriander leaves, crushed pepper corns, and salt.
  3. Mix well and whisk till batter becomes fluffy
  4. Heat oil in kadai.
  5. Apply water on your fingers and take batter, with other hand make hole.
  6. Now drop in oil and cook till both sides seems crisp.
  7. Oil should be medium hot.
  8. Medu wadas are ready to serve with coconut chutney
