ABOUT Paneer stuffed pumpkin pie RECIPE

It's a bengali Bhaja pithe style recipe. I used home made paneer (chhena) for stuffing.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For making the dough: Yellow Pumpkin- Roughly 200 g
  2. Rice flower -3 table spoon and little more if needed
  3. Maida (all purpose flower)-1 table spoon and little more
  4. Suji (semolina)- 2 tea spoon
  5. Sugar- 1/2 cup
  6. Salr- 1/4 tea spoon
  7. Crushed black pepper -1 teaspoon
  8. Fried cumin powder -1/2 teaspoon
  9. For stuffing : Milk - 1and 1/2 glass(1 glass = 250 ml)
  10. Lemon juice: 1 and 1/2 table spoon
  11. Milk powder- 2 tespoon
  12. Shreded coconut- 3 table spoon
  13. sugar- 3/4 cup
  14. Crushes cardamom - 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Oil for deep frying
  16. Sesame seeds ( optional)

Instructions

  1. Pill the pumpkin and boil. Do not over boil it.
  2. Then mix all the ingredients mentioned for making the dough and make the dough.
  3. For stuffing Boil milk add lemon juice and stir it untill the chhena forms and a clear light greenish liquid part separated.
  4. Drain it through a cleer cloth. The water part keep aside and tie the cloth . Squize it with light pressure.
  5. Hang it for about 25 mins.
  6. After 25 mins take all ingredients mentioned for stuffing .
  7. And mix. Stuffing is ready.
  8. Now take small portion of the dough
  9. Put some stuffing on it
  10. Close the sides with wet finger.
  11. Roll it on sesame seeds. Keep it aside.
  12. Heat oil for frying. Deep fry the pies.
  13. Serve it .
