This halwa is very delicious and easy to make. This is suitable for both kids and adults. I make often this halwa for my kid and he love to eat this.

Carrot-Oats-Green Papaya Halwa

Ingredients to make Carrot-Oats-Green Papaya Halwa

  • 1 Cup Grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup grated green papaya
  • 1/4 Cup Oats
  • 10 cashews +10 almonds (grind them together into a fine powder)
  • Handful of golden raisins
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • 1 large cup of milk
  • 1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Chopped nuts and strawberries for garnishing.

How to make Carrot-Oats-Green Papaya Halwa

  1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan.
  2. Add grated papaya and saute for 1 min on high heat.
  3. Next add grated carrots and saute for 1-2 minutes on high heat.
  4. Now add oats and cook for 2-3 minutes in medium heat.
  5. Now combine the milk with the mixture and stir.
  6. On a low to medium flame bring the whole mixture to a boil and then simmer.
  7. While the mixture is simmering, keep on stirring in between.
  8. When the milk has 75% reduced, add condensed milk and cashew-almond powder to the mixture.
  9. Stir well and continue to simmer and cook on a low flame.
  10. Towards the end, add raisins and cardamom powder. Switch off the burner.
  11. Garnish halwa with chopped nuts and chopped strawberries.
