ABOUT Rice flour malabi RECIPE

Malabi is a milk based dessert recipe which thickend with rice and topped with sweet syrup and nuts

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 400 mili liters milk
  2. 50 grams rice flour
  3. 50 grams sugar
  4. 2 tablespoons rose water
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. Ingrediants for syrup
  7. sugar 100 grams
  8. water 120 mili liter
  9. Liqued food colour 1/2 teaspoon
  10. 1/4 cup chopped nuts for garnish


  1. Put the rice flour in a small bowl
  2. Slowly add 50 mili liter milk
  3. Whisking dissolve any lumps
  4. Rest of the milk take in a saucepan for boil
  5. Add sugar and mix
  6. Stir in the rice flour / milk
  7. Stir well to distribute the rice flou
  8. Don't scrape up the thickened layer that will form at the bottom of the pot
  9. Lower the heat to medium and cook the pudding for 5 minutes
  10. Stir in the vanilla and the rose water
  11. Pour the malabi into 6 glasses
  12. Cool it completely , then refrigerate it for 2 hours
  13. Again take a saucepan, add water and sugar to make syrup
  14. When water became boil add food colour
  15. Let it cool completely
  16. Pour 1-2 teaspoon syrup top on the malabi
  17. Garnish with chopped nuts
