Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chopped mangoes 20 pieces
  2. 1 cup jaggery grated
  3. 3/4 cup water
  4. 3 tbsp oil
  5. 1/2 tesp mustard seeds
  6. 1/4 tesp turmeric powder
  7. 3/4 tesp salt
  8. 1 1/2 tesp chilli powder


  1. Boil jaggery and water ,once the jaggery has melted filter and keep aside Place pan with oil on medium heat,add mustard seeds ,let splutter
  2. Add mangoes and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes
  3. Add salt,turmeric,and chilli powder, mix well add 1/2cup of water and cook mangoes with lid covered.
  4. The mangoes should be 3/4 cooked
  5. Add the jaggery syrup and let cook till it's thick.
  6. Remove serve hot or cold ,with curd rice or sambar rice.
