Chirota is made during festival season in maharastra.. It is a traditional recipe of maharashtra it is served during festival like diwali and on other religious occasion..in krnatka and maharashtra

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Maida one bowl
  2. Powder suger 2-3tsp
  3. Oil for frying
  4. Salt a pinch
  5. Desi ghee 2tsp
  6. Cornflor 2-3 tsp
  7. Food color red 2tsp
  8. Ghee for moin 2tsp
  9. Water for making dough

Instructions

  1. Take maida in a bowl and add 2-3tsp hot ghee in it and a pinch of salt and rub it with hands and make soft dough adding water then add red color in a small part of dough and set side
  2. Noe in a bowl take 2-3tspnof cornflour and add desi ghee in it and mix it make a sticky paste
  3. Now make a thin chpati from the white color dough. And one chpati from red color dough... And cut thre layers of red color dough
  4. Now apply the sticky dough on the normal chpati and dust some maida on it and place the red color patti on it one by one make three layers of red patti and roll it carefully ..then cut the roll in equal size pieces
  5. Now heat oil in a kdhai and press each pieceur palm and role again like puri and deep fry it
  6. Multi layerd chirota is ready after frying
  7. Sprinkle some powder sugar on it when it is hot
