Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Hung curd 1 cup
  2. Semolina 1 cup
  3. sugar 1 cup
  4. Desi ghee 1/2. Cup or as desired
  5. Cardamom powder...of 6 cardamoms
  6. Slivered almonds, pistachio and cashew nuts
  7. Saffron...few strands...

Instructions

  1. Soak saffron in warm water
  2. Heat desi ghee and roast suji or semolina on very low flame till golden brown. Switch off the gas
  3. Whisk hung curd nicely
  4. Mix hung curd in suji and ghee mix. Mix vigorously so that no lumps are formed
  5. Mix sugar also and keep the pan again on flame
  6. Stir continuously
  7. Mix cardamom powder and saffron and cook till the mix leaves the pan
  8. Enjoy dahi halwa after adding slivered almonds and pistachios
