ABOUT Onion lauki rayta RECIPE

This is a delicious rayta made with bottle gourd, to be served with pulao or biryani.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dahi [curd] 2 cup
  2. Grated lauki [bottle gourd] 1 cup
  3. Chopped onion 1
  4. Chopped green chilli 1
  5. Jeera 1tsp
  6. Oil 2 tsp
  7. Salt
  8. Red chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds followed b y the chopped onion.
  2. Now add the bottle gourd and required amount of salt. Then add the green chillies and saute firther. Switch off the gas flame, cover with a lid and keep it closed for 5 minutes.
  3. Now whisk the curd and then add the bottle gourd mixture , mix well.
  4. Now chill the rayta and serve.
