Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Soya chunks (soaked in water)10-15
  2. Small cubed Paneer 50 gms
  3. Boiled and mashed Potatoes 2 medium sized
  4. Schezwan chutney 3 teaspoon
  5. Corn starch 1/2 tablspoon
  6. Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Gram flour 1/4 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Squeeze water from soya chunks. Take a big bowl , add cubed paneer and soya chunks in it. Add 2 tspn schezwan chutney, salt, half of corn starch, gram flour, mix with spoon, keep the marinated soya and paneer cubes aside for 15 min.
  2. Prepare potato balls: take peeled mashed boiled potatoes add rest of the schezwan chutney , salt , red chilli powder, desired amt (little more) of corn starch to bind (i used 1/4 tblspoon), and mix well to form dough.
  3. Make small (soya chunks sized) balls.
  4. Prepare screwers:- take tooth pick, screw one soya chunk, paneer and the potato balls together , likewise prepare all the screwers.
  5. Now heat oil for deep frying in pan or kadhai. And deep fry screwers, do not overcrowd the pan,
  6. Serve hot with schezwan sauce , mint curd dip or ketchup with some masala onions.
