Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rava idli 5-6 No
  2. Boiled and mashed potato 1/2 cup
  3. Garam Masala. 1/4 Tsp
  4. Red chili powder 1/2tsp
  5. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Chaat masala 1/4 tsp
  8. Kasuri methi 2tsp
  9. Bread crumbs 1/4 cup(optional)
  10. Oil for Deep frying


  1. In a bowl take idlis and mashed them nicely.
  2. Now add mashed potatoes,red chili ,coriander,chaat masala,garam masala powder to the mashed idlis.
  3. Add salt ,black pepper and kasuri methi.
  4. Now mix everything well and knead into a soft dough
  5. If you mixture is sticky add bread crumbs 1 tbsp at a time to form a non-sticky dough.
  6. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan over medium heat .
  7. Grase your palm with little oil and make small balls from the prepared dough.
  8. Gently slide the balls into the hot oil, a few at a time, and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. 
  9. Drain on absorbent paper.
  10. Serve with tomato ketchup.
