Baked Apple Crisp

Ingredients to make Baked Apple Crisp

  • 8 apples, peeled
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup cold butter

How to make Baked Apple Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 13x9 glass pan.
  3. Cut fruit into slices (removing pit or seeds) and layer in bottom of pan.
  4. Mix dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
  5. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter (cut until crumbly).
  6. Sprinkle mixture over fruit.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Top should be browned.
  8. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream or just as it is.

My Tip:

You can use any red eating apples for this recipe. If you like a nice tart flavor, you can use green apples instead.
