Beautiful rose shaped apple dessert with slices of sweet juicy apples wrapped in crispy moist puff pastry with a strong aroma of cinnamon

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Puff pastry sheets 4 ( 9"×1.5")
  2. Soft butter 2 tbsp
  3. Granulated sugar 2 tbsp
  4. Cinnamon powder 1 tbsp
  5. Apple 1 (big and red)
  6. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  7. Boiling water 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Cut Apple into two halves. Remove the core and cut into very thin slices.
  2. Boil a cup of water with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Soak Apple slices in boiled water off the flame for a minute to make them tender ( not mushy) for easy rolling.
  3. Drain and pat dry with a clean cloth.
  4. Take a puff pastry strip. Butter it. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon powder generously.
  5. Place Apple slices along one side overlapping partially covering nearly half of the width of strip leaving half for over lapping. Sprinkle apples too with sugar and cinnamon powder.
  6. Turn the remaining half over the apples.
  7. Now roll up starting from one end. Seal the other end by pinching with your fingers.
  8. Place this rose in muffin mold. Prepare all four roses same way.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 200 degree celcius.
  10. Sprinkle some castor sugar over roses and serve hot.
