ABOUT Mushroom 65 RECIPE

Mushroom 65 is a quick and easy tea time snack recipe. Mushrooms coated in a delicious Indian spice batter and deep fried until crisp.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. White Button Mushroom - 8
  2. All purpose flour - 1 tbsp
  3. Corn flour - 1 Tbsp
  4. Rice flour - 1 1/2 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp (adjust per taste)
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
  7. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt - 1/4 tsp (adjust per taste)
  9. Orange Food Color a small pinch (optional)
  10. 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  11. 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  12. 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  13. oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash and cut the mushroom into 2-3 pieces.
  2. In a bowl, add corn flour, all purpose flour, ginger, garlic, pepper powder, red chilli powder, food colour, cumin powder, chat Masala and salt. Add 1/4 cup water and make lumps free batter.
  3. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix it well.
  4. Add 3-4 pieces of mushroom in the batter. Coat each pieces of mushroom with the batter with the help of a spoon.
  5. Heat the wok/kadai with oil and put the coated mushroom on the hot oil. Deep fry it on medium flame till it is golden and crisp. Serve hot.
