Tawa puri

Ingredients to make Tawa puri

  • 1 cup maida
  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp suger
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • salt as per required
  • oil for deep fry
  • 2 tsp chopped cashew
  • 2 tsp raisin
  • 1 cup ratlami sev
  • 8-10 cloves

How to make Tawa puri

  1. Add maida,salt,caromseeds, and 2 tbs oil in a mixing bowl
  2. Add some water and knead a medium hard dough and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Coarsely grind the ratlami save and keep it out in a bowl and mix red chilli powder,salt,powder sugar,dry mango powder and garam masala.
  4. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and cook the prepared masala for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add cashew and raisin.
  6. Let it cool completely.
  7. Now make small boll of the dough and roll small puries of the bolls
  8. Fill the filling in puries and pack it with a clove.
  9. Heay oil in a pan and deep fry till golden brown.
