Our age old traditional and all time favourite aloo and garama garam puris

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Puris : 1 cup wheat flour
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  4. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  5. Water as required
  6. Oil for frying
  7. For aloo sabji: 2 cups boiled and diced potatoes
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 2 green chillies chopped
  13. Pinch of asafoetida
  14. Few curry leaves
  15. Freshly chopped coriander leaves
  16. 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Knead a dough with the Ingredients mentioned for puris except oil
  2. Deep fry the small puris rolled from the dough on medium flame
  3. For sabji : In a kadai heat oil put mustard seeds, cumin seeds , curry leaves , green chillies and asafoetida
  4. Now add the diced boiled potatoes
  5. Add the dry spices
  6. Mix well
  7. Cook on low flame for about 5 minutes
  8. Once done switch off the flame
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves
  10. Serve immediately with hot puris
