Paneer in Coconut Gravy

Ingredients to make Paneer in Coconut Gravy

  • paneer 2 cups
  • coconut milk 2 cups
  • cornflour 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds1/2 tsp
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • chopped onion 1 big
  • 4 green chillies
  • ginger 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • For garnishing coriander leaves 1 tbsp

How to make Paneer in Coconut Gravy

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadhai,add cubed paneer,fry them on medium heat for 2 minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Grind onion,chillies and ginger.Make a paste.
  3. Mix cornflour in coconut milk.
  4. Add the remaining oil in the same kadhai ,add cumin seeds.when they crackle add the onion paste.Cook on medium heat.Add turmeric powder.(optional)
  5. While stirring the paste for 4 minutes.Mix well.Cook the gravy for five minutes.Add coconut and cornflour mixture.
  6. Add the paneer and salt.
  7. Cover it and Cook for another 5 minutes.Add garam masala powder.
  8. Switch off the gas.Take out it in serving bowl.Garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve to ready.

My Tip:

Avoid adding turmeric if you want the gravy to be white.
