Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 500 grams.
  2. 2 big potatoes.
  3. 2 medium onion chopped.
  4. 4 medium ripe tomato puree.
  5. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  6. 1 tesp chopped coriander leaves.
  7. 1 tbsp chopped mint leaves.
  8. Salt as per taste.
  9. 1/2 tesp turmeric powder.
  10. 2 tbsp red chilli powder.
  11. 3 tbsp coriander powder.
  12. 1 tesp fennel seeds.
  13. 3 tbsp oil.
  14. 2 cups water.


  1. Place a deep cooking pan with oil on medium flame.
  2. Add fennel seeds,let it splutter.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and onions,saute till light brown.
  4. Stir in mint and coriander leaves.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree and let cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add turmeric,chills and coriander powder.
  7. Add salt,stir to mix well.
  8. Now add the chicken and the skin peeled potato pieces.
  9. Pour in 2 cups of water,stir well.
  10. With pan covered cook on medium low till the chicken and potato are cooked.
  11. Once cooked,open and let simmer till thick.
  12. Potato chicken curry is ready to serve with rice,idli, dosa ....
