These ladus are usually prepared in Winter season. Aliv seeds are said to be heaty. So we give these ladus to ladies after their delivery. They are good for lactating women.These are very healthy and they are rich in calcium and iron.  Watercress contains significant amounts of iron, calcium, iodine, and folic acid, in addition to vitamins A and C. It’s rich in vitamins and minerals thereby fights cancer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Aliv seeds 100 grams
  2. Grated Jaggery 1 Cup
  3. Coconut water 1 cup
  4. Grated Fresh Coconut 3 cups
  5. Nutmeg powder 1/4 Teaspoon
  6. Cardamom powder 1/4 Teaspoon
  7. Dry Fruits chopped as per your choice


  1. In a bowl soak Aliv seeds in one cup of coconut water.
  2. If coconut water is not available then you can use normal water.
  3. Soak it for approximately 2 hours.
  4. Heat a pan and add soaked aliv seeds, Jaggery and coconut.
  5. Mix it well and cook on medium heat till the mixture comes together.
  6. After 15 minutes put off the gas add DryFruits and nutmeg and cardamom powder in it.
  7. Roll the ladus till the mixture is warm.
  8. These ladus remain nice if you refrigerate them.
